Fig Leaf Software Launches a New Public Site for the Archdiocese of Baltimore
Fig Leaf Software designed and developed a new public Web site for the Archdiocese of Baltimore. The new site design features a new low profile menu, events calendar, parish search and quick links to issue areas of the site.
The new site features a rotating image banner on the home page as well as links to special features and the Catholic News feed.
Fig Leaf Software set up the new design with the CommonSpot Content Management System (CMS), a product of PaperThin. The new CMS features out of the box functionality which makes it easy for non-technical content owners to add and manage Web site content using only a Web browser. The CMS features workflow and approval and provides content owners with the ability to access over 40 different content element types, as well as a variety of design templates, with little or no reliance on the ArchBalt IT Staff.
Google Translate is embedded in the page to enable a user to quickly toggle to view any page of content in one of 40+ languages, including Arabic, Spanish, French, Chinese, Russian or Portuguese. The new site features Google Site Search for users seeking quick relevant results on the site. Video content is embedded via the organization's YouTube channel.
