Where Data.gov fails the "mom test"

Steve Drucker participated in a panel discussion with Dan Kasun, senior director of developer and platform evangelism at Microsoft's US Public Sector at the Open Government Initiative event this past week.

According to Sean Gallagher, writer for Government Computer News, Steve said "the datasets currently on Data.gov fail the "mom test". If he pointed his mother to the site, she wouldn't be able to get anything useful, he said. For the data to be useful, it must be easy for the average person to use"
